My name is Laura Romain, and I'm a REIKI MASTER, YOGA TEACHER, and writer.
Reiki has become the cornerstone of my personal practice for stress relief and emotional balance, and I'm delighted to share it with others.
I've been practicing yoga since 2007. At the time, I hated the idea of wearing stretchy clothes in public, but I was desperate to find something that would help me manage my stress levels.
Over the years, yoga has introduced me to powerful stress-reduction techniques, improved my strength, and expanded my physical and emotional flexibility. Not only has yoga enabled me to cope with times of anxiety, grief, and loss, it's also helped me to recognize and appreciate the joy and beauty of my daily life.
As a teacher, I specialize in cultivating a welcoming, body-positive environment, and I work with students of all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced practitioners. I teach several different styles of yoga, including:
- vinyasa yoga, which builds strength and emphasizes graceful flowing movements
- yin yoga, which improves flexibility and offers opportunities for mindfulness and contemplation
- kundalini yoga, which can help shift perspectives and build emotional balance
- hatha yoga, which can be customized for people at all levels of physical fitness
I am a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), having completed a 200-hour training.
